Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. You will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans while promoting quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. The role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, mentoring and precepting, and participating in quality and safety improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
- Develop, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
- Provide and coordinate education tailored to patient and family needs during care and at discharge.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and function as a mentor/preceptor to staff.
- Participate in teamwork, quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
