Speech Therapist (SLP) - Travel Position

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel - Allied Health Clinical

Job Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments including swallowing, communication, and cognitive abilities.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to develop and revise plans of care.
• Maintain a safe environment by assessing social and clinical risks and providing education as needed.
• Implement treatment programs to restore function and achieve maximum functional status, including therapeutic exercises and cognitive training.
• Provide discharge planning and referrals to resources.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical disciplines.
• Use age-appropriate teaching methods and document patient education.
• Comply with agency policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage case responsibilities and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Prioritize schedules to meet patient needs and maintain visit productivity standards.
• Travel to patient homes and facilities as required (use of personal vehicle required).
• Assist with agency growth by orienting new employees, cross-training, and accepting additional assignments.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute, subacute, or home care settings.
• Graduate of an accredited speech and language program with a minimum of a Master’s degree.
• Current New Jersey Speech Therapist (ST) license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Use of personal vehicle is required for home visits.
