Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech

Location

• Bricktown, New Jersey

Job Summary

• Assist physicians with invasive cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including temporary and permanent pacemaker placement.
• Assist with circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella.
• Prepare and organize equipment and sterile trays for procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and monitoring setup.
• Calibrate and test transducers and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
• Operate power injector and fluoroscopy controls as requested.
• Calculate and record cardiac output, oximetry, and analyze hemodynamic data.
• Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, hemostatic closure devices, and radial access banding.
• Maintain inventory control and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in catheterization lab on-call responsibilities.
• Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Physical requirements include lifting at least 40 lbs, pushing/pulling 100 lbs, and standing for at least 4 hours daily.

Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 40 hours per week (4x10 hour shifts)
• Weekend and holiday work required (including 1 summer and 1 winter holiday)
• On-call required: minimum 7 shifts, maximum 10 shifts
• No float required

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab Technologist experience, preferably within the last year
• Graduate of an applied science program
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
