Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week (5 days x 8 hours)
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • No holidays or on-call required

Job Summary

  • Perform diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations on adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients following ACR requirements.
  • Assist with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, breast localization, and other radiologic guided procedures within the Breast Center.
  • Conduct mammographic imaging for breast needle localization and stereotactic procedures, including setup and cleanup.
  • Provide immobilization devices and select appropriate technical factors and equipment for procedures.
  • Identify and label patient films correctly, develop x-ray films, and complete patient requisitions.
  • Assist with quality control procedures and documentation in compliance with ACR, MQSA, NJ State, and FDA standards.
  • Educate patients on breast self-examination (BSE) and provide pre- and post-procedure instructions.
  • Prepare cases for imaging and assist with compiling patient follow-up statistics and biopsy tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers, adapting to their developmental, cultural, and sensory needs.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in New Jersey
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • Active Diagnostic Radiography License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
