Description

Radiologic Technologist

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a radiologist or other providers.
  • Operate imaging equipment to perform diagnostic studies following specific guidelines and protocols.
  • Utilize appropriate radiation protection measures (ALARA, OSHA, PPE, hand washing).
  • Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients, including interviewing for medical history and assisting throughout exams.
  • Perform radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures accurately and efficiently with minimal patient discomfort.
  • Ensure correct image identification, technical accuracy, and proper documentation in RIS and PACS systems.
  • Communicate and collaborate with radiologists and ordering providers for protocol guidance and order clarification.
  • Document fluoro time and estimated skin exposure for fluoroscopic studies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC workflow from order entry to exam completion, including notes and supply charges.
  • Participate in flexible scheduling including weekend, call, and holiday rotations as needed.
  • Assist with patient transport, exam room preparation, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Act as a mentor and role model; assist in onboarding new employees and provide a positive teaching environment.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions and perform minor troubleshooting.

Shift

  • Thursday and Friday, 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM
    OR
  • Friday and Saturday, 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist within the last year
  • ARRT (R) certification in diagnostic radiology
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience as a Radiology Technologist
