Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Shift: Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), every other weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. You will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care while supervising licensed and non-licensed staff. The role emphasizes quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, and professional development within a Practice Governance framework. You will also mentor and precept staff, participate in quality and safety improvements, and comply with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
• Develop, prioritize, implement, and revise plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
• Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during the stay and at discharge.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and foster teamwork.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in quality, safety, and service process initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, including within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

• This position requires working every other weekend.
