MRI Technologist I

Location: Edmond, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7am to 7pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (12-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Summary

This entry-level position works under immediate to general supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services for adult and pediatric patients. The role supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of a range of conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
• Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, or surgical procedures.
• Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
• Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
• Perform quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
