Description
MRI Technologist I – Oklahoma City, OK
Job Summary
Entry-level MRI Technologist position working under supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology. Provides diagnostic imaging services to adult and pediatric patients to assist medical staff in diagnosis, care, and treatment.
Work Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1 week of call every 5 weeks
- 40 hours per week (10 hours per day)
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
- Use specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, or surgical imaging procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
- Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and improve care.
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
