Speech Therapist (SLP) - Travel Position

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel, Clinical Allied Health
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (AM)
Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week

Job Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments including swallowing, communication, and cognitive abilities.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to develop and revise plans of care.
• Implement treatment programs to restore function and achieve maximum functional status.
• Provide discharge planning and referrals as needed.
• Use age-appropriate teaching methods for patients and families; document education tools used.
• Maintain a safe environment by assessing social and clinical risks and following infection control measures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical disciplines.
• Comply with agency policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage case responsibilities including scheduling, visit productivity, and interdisciplinary team participation.
• Travel to patient homes and facilities as required, using a personal vehicle for home visits.
• Assist with agency growth by orienting new employees, cross-training, and accepting additional assignments.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist within the last year
• Experience in Home Care and Home Health settings

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekends required

Additional Information

• Use of personal vehicle is required for home visits.
