Description

Occupational Therapist

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Employment Type: Clinical Specialist/Professional


Job Description

  • Perform professional Occupational Therapy activities under general supervision, including planning, evaluating, and implementing individual and group treatment activities based on physician referrals.
  • Evaluate patients in areas such as independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills.
  • Develop treatment plans with short- and long-term goals, including frequency and duration of therapy.
  • Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices; instruct patients on joint protection and body mechanics.
  • Communicate goals and progress to patients and families.
  • Assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans.
  • May supervise students.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience as a hand therapist with splint fabrication
  • Skill in organizing and instructing occupational therapy activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a hand therapist with splint fabrication.

Additional Information

  • No travel or trauma cases required.
