Description
Occupational Therapist
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Employment Type: Clinical Specialist/Professional
Job Description
- Perform professional Occupational Therapy activities under general supervision, including planning, evaluating, and implementing individual and group treatment activities based on physician referrals.
- Evaluate patients in areas such as independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills.
- Develop treatment plans with short- and long-term goals, including frequency and duration of therapy.
- Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices; instruct patients on joint protection and body mechanics.
- Communicate goals and progress to patients and families.
- Assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans.
- May supervise students.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience as a hand therapist with splint fabrication
- Skill in organizing and instructing occupational therapy activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a hand therapist with splint fabrication.
