Description
Echocardiographer Position - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Job Summary
- Perform Transthoracic echocardiograms.
- Set up and assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
- Under supervision, set up and perform exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms.
- Deliver care primarily to an adult patient population.
- Maintain clean and orderly patient care environment.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including evaluating procedure results and maintaining logs and records.
- Prepare and instruct patients before and after procedures.
- Utilize ultrasound contrast according to American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines and department policy.
Contract Length
- 12 weeks
Work Schedule
- 1st shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Variable shifts including weekends and emergent call coverage as scheduled
- No night shifts or call required
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist, with experience within the last year.
Education
- Completion of a two-year degree in an Allied Health field.
Certifications & Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Additional Qualifications
- Participation in quality improvement activities.
