Job Description
- Utilize imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
- Prepare patients for procedures, educate them, and respond to questions or concerns with an age-appropriate approach.
- Ensure patient safety, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control techniques are followed.
- Position patients and equipment to achieve optimal images.
- Work with physicians to evaluate images and determine if additional images are needed.
- Oversee and train students providing patient care and services as part of their training.
Schedule
- Shift: Day (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday
- Call: Weeknight once per week; weekend call once every 6th weekend
- Hours per week: 40
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Kentucky
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
- BLS Certification
- CNMT or ARRT(N) Certification
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
