Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I (Travel)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with healthcare team members.
  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
  • Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
  • License/Certificate verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years)
  • Specialty Exam in nursing area (minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years)
  • Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
  • Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics; minimum 80% score, updated yearly)
  • NIH Certification (Group A yearly, Groups B-F every 2 years)
  • EKG Exam (minimum 80% score, updated as per latest edition)
  • Onboarding education attestations and contract worker onboarding completed prior to assignment
  • Nova StatStrip training (pre-hire modules)
  • Cerner Test-Out and training checklist
  • Driver’s License/State ID (valid, must match address requirements)

Required Health & Immunizations

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Fit Test: Annual, preferred prior to start
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions require mask wearing
  • TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
  • Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations)
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations)
  • Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes prior to start
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
