Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Environment

• Every other weekend
• No on-call duties
• Electronic Health Record system: Cerner OneChart
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • NIH Certification (updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group)
  • MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training
• Health Requirements:

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • TB Testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual questionnaire required
  • Fit Test: Required annually; preferred before start, can be completed onsite
  • Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
• Background Checks & Verifications:

  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days prior to start
  • Employment verification for past 7 years
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start
• Other Requirements:

  • Driver’s License or State ID (valid, matching address requirements)
  • Completion of core competencies and skills checklists relevant to specialty
  • Completion of onboarding modules and attestations specific to nursing contingent workers
  • Passing Cerner test with minimum 80% score (two attempts allowed)
  • Color vision test completed and updated every 3 years
  • Badge photo (forward facing, white or blue background, no alterations)

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• All required documents and verifications must be current and completed within specified timeframes prior to assignment start.
• Some optional checklists and evaluations may be requested but are not mandatory for onboarding.

This position is suitable for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Medical/Surgical care who meet the licensing, certification, and health requirements listed above and are comfortable working in a Cerner EHR environment with a defined weekend schedule.
