Job Opportunity: Neurosurgery Surgical Technologist
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)

Job Description
- Assist in neurosurgery cases involving both spine and brain procedures.
- Experience with equipment such as Stealth and O-arm required.
- Support complex neurosurgical procedures including:
- Transsphenoidal pituitary surgery
- Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT)
- GammaTile brachytherapy implantation
- Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)
- Other complex cranial surgeries
- Work schedule: 40 hours per week.
- On-call requirements: 8 calls per month.
- Weekend and holiday call coverage as required.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including at least 2 years in neurosurgery.
- Surgical Technician experience within the last year.
- Neurosurgery experience must include both spine and brain procedures.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credentials such as NBSTSA, TS-C, or NCCT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks.
Required Credentials & Compliance
- Current Surgical Technologist license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
- BLS certification (AHA).
- Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references.
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, and National Sex Offender Registry.
- Core competencies completion (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) with minimum passing score.
- Completion of Surgical Technologist onboarding education attestation modules prior to clearance.
- Health and immunization requirements including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season or mask requirement
- Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations)
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations)
- Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive)
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start)
- Health statement or physical exam updated annually
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Driver’s license or state ID matching address requirements.
- Employment and education verifications within 90 days of start, updated annually or after breaks in service.
- Skills checklist for specialty completed within one year and updated annually.
- Badge photo (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations).
