Job Opportunity: Surgical Technologist - CVOR
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- On-call duties shared equally among team members
- Required to work any holiday that falls on a regularly scheduled shift
- Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Experience as a CVOR Technologist within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association required)
- Valid license or certification verification as applicable for Surgical Technologist
- Completion of required onboarding education and competency attestations prior to start
- Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (mask required if declined)
- Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA with annual updates)
- Fit testing for respiratory protection (annual requirement)
- Drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
- Professional references (minimum two) and employment verification for past seven years
- Criminal background check including social security trace and national searches
- Driver’s license or state ID matching address on file (must be current)
Additional Requirements
- Completion of core competencies related to HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and specialty-specific skills
- Health statement or physical exam confirming good health prior to assignment and updated annually
- Recent education verification relevant to clinical work
- Submission of a professional resume/profile and signed assignment agreement
- Headshot photo for badge identification (white or blue background, no filters)
Experience
