Job Opportunity: RN Cardiac

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit Capacity: 36 beds
• Patient Population: Cardiac and Neuro Stepdown
• Care includes: Cardiac bedside monitoring, cardiac drips, TR bands, post heart catheterization care, stroke/neuro patients, BIPAP overflow
• Patient Age Range: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+)
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 6:1

Staffing & Responsibilities

• Core staffing includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs)
• RN assumes full responsibility for patients on each team

Required Certifications & Skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) certified
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA certified
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Successful completion of a proctored cardiac rhythm test
• Completion of unit-specific competencies including EKG exam and core competencies with minimum passing scores

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience
• Minimum of 1 year telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Completion of various onboarding checklists and tests including Cerner system test-out and skills checklist
• Annual updates required for certifications and health screenings
• Professional education verification and employment verification within the last 7 years
• Submission of a professional resume/profile and a forward-facing badge photo (no alterations)

Experience

• Specialty: RN Telemetry I (Cardiac)
• Required years of experience: Minimum 1 year telemetry experience within the last year
• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience mentioned
