Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery/Perinatal setting.
- Requires experience in managing labor and delivery patients and perinatal care.
Required Qualifications
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
- Valid Driver's License.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Professional references: at least two qualifying references prior to first assignment.
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 90 days of assignment start.
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Health requirements including:
- Proof of MMR, Varicella, Tdap vaccinations or immunity (no declinations accepted).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (mask required if declined).
- TB screening with 2-step PPD or IGRA test and annual TB questionnaire.
- Fit test for respiratory protection, preferably completed prior to start.
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Completion of specialty competency exams and skills checklists prior to or shortly after start, with periodic updates.
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated every 3 years.
- Various onboarding attestations and training modules required prior to or at start of assignment.
