Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Monday - Friday, rotating schedule between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM with one day off every other week
Call Requirements:
- Approximately 2 weekday call days per week
- Every 3rd weekend on call
- Holidays on call as needed
Job Description
- Perform interventional radiology procedures including angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainage procedures, and vascular access
- Strong background in patient care, preferably in critical care or procedural settings
- Proficient in using various medical equipment and imaging technologies
- Solid understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety protocols
- Strong mainframe and PC skills, including experience with EPIC electronic health records
- May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician
- Current Wisconsin Radiographer License
- Advanced certification through ARRT in one of the following: ARRT-CI, ARRT-CV, or ARRT-VI
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational and strong analytical skills

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Submission of current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
- Driver’s license or state ID (must be current and match address on file)
- Professional references (at least two) prior to first assignment
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment start
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (updated every 3 years)
- Skills checklist for specialty, completed within one year and updated annually
- Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
- Employment verification for the past seven years
- Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment on agency letterhead
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Proof of immunizations or immunity for:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
- Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Tuberculosis screening:
- 2-step PPD or IGRA within specified timeframes
- If positive, negative chest X-ray within one year and annual TB questionnaire
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite)
- Annual 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
