Job Opportunity: CVICU RN (Night Shift)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Provide nursing care for cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients.
• Required experience with Impella, IABP, and LVAD devices.
• Experience with NxStage is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience
• CVICU experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Skills checklists and exams must be updated annually or every 3 years as specified.
• Color vision test required prior to start and updated every 3 years.
• Badge photo required (front-facing, white or blue background, no alterations).
• Signed assignment agreement required before onboarding.
• Optional unit-specific checklist may be requested by unit leadership.

Summary

This is a night shift CVICU RN role requiring specialized cardiac ICU skills and experience with advanced cardiac assist devices. The assignment is for approximately 13 weeks in Indianapolis, Indiana. Candidates must meet comprehensive health, certification, and background requirements prior to starting.
