Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
Schedule: Every other weekend and one major holiday per contract
Patient Ratio: Typically 1 RN to 4 patients
Unit: Progressive Care Unit with all patients on bedside cardiac monitors
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) check
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on a Progressive Care Unit with cardiac monitoring
- Maintain patient safety and care with a typical 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Work 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and one major holiday per contract
- Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
- Optional unit-specific checklist may be completed by unit leader after onboarding
- All required exams and certifications must be updated every 3 years or as specified
- Extensions require updated confirmation of assignment documentation
This position is suitable for experienced RNs comfortable with progressive care patients and cardiac monitoring in a fast-paced environment.
