Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery/Perinatal setting.
- Must have experience in Labor and Delivery/Perinatal care with exposure to high-volume delivery services.
Required Qualifications
Licenses & Certifications
- Registered Nurse license in Texas.
- BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service.
- Preferred: 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service.
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Additional Preferred Certifications
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Professional references: at least two qualifying professional references required before first assignment.
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and other required screenings within 90 days of assignment start.
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Health requirements including:
- Proof of MMR vaccination or positive titer (no declinations accepted).
- Proof of Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
- Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement).
- 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for TB screening, with chest X-ray if positive.
- Fit test for respiratory protection, preferably completed prior to start.
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Completion of specialty competency exams and skills checklists prior to or shortly after start, with periodic updates every 1-3 years.
- Completion of required onboarding education and attestations.

- Shift covers a 12.5-hour day shift.
