MRI Technician Position - Wisconsin (Appleton)

Job Details

• Specialty: MRI Technician
• Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Call Requirements:

  • Every other weekend
  • Rotating weeknights with regular staff
  • Holidays as needed per contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Floating: May be required to float to nearby facilities if needed

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of MRI experience (highest requirement found)
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with GE and Siemens MRI machines
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 3 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment
• Completion of signed assignment agreement and onboarding education attestation
• Ascension Core Competencies training (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) completed within the last year, updated every 3 years
• Background checks including criminal, social security trace, and employment verification within the last 90 days
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start
• Driver’s license or state ID (must be current and match address requirements)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Proof of two MMR vaccines or positive immunity titer (no declinations accepted)
• Proof of two Varicella vaccines or immunity verification (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Annual Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years, no declinations accepted)
• Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
• Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test within required timeframes; if positive, negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required
• Fit test for respiratory protection (3M 1860 or 1870+ masks) preferred before start or onsite

Additional Notes

• Must provide a forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no filters or alterations)
• Health statement or physical exam confirming good health required prior to first assignment and updated annually
• Skills checklist for MRI specialty to be completed within one year of start and updated annually

This position is suited for experienced MRI Technologists with prior travel experience who meet the licensing and certification requirements and are able to comply with comprehensive onboarding and health standards.
