Description
Job Opportunity: CVOR Certified Surgical Technician
Location
- Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract Length
- 13 weeks (Long-Term Assignment)
Work Schedule
- Rotating shifts Monday through Friday, hours between 06:50 and 15:20 (flexible start times; some days may start earlier depending on cases)
- On-call as needed for weekday nights and weekends
- Holiday call rotation: at least one holiday per contract, rotating among four technicians
Job Description
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technician with Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
- Minimum 2 years of open heart surgery experience required
- Familiarity with all cardiovascular surgeries and ability to assist with general surgical cases as needed
- May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles
- Use of EPIC electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential issued by the American Heart Association
- Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Demonstrated experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in cardiovascular surgery
Additional Information
- This position requires flexibility for call and floating assignments
- Holiday coverage is part of the contract requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced cardiovascular surgical environment with rotating shifts
