Description
Radiation Therapist Position
Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekends, Call, Holidays: None required
Job Description
- Must be a Board Certified Radiation Therapist with a current license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records system.
- Experience with Varian products such as Aria and AlignRT.
- May be required to float onsite within skill set or to nearby locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Wisconsin.
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Board Certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system.
- Valid Driver's License.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Proof of two MMR vaccines or positive immunity titer (no declinations accepted).
- Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Documentation of Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
- Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- Fit test for respiratory protection completed prior to start and updated annually.
- Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement).
- Tuberculosis screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within one year showing no infection, and annual TB questionnaire.
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to assignment, updated annually.
- 12-panel drug screen completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
Documentation and Onboarding Requirements
- Professional resume/profile submission required.
- Signed assignment agreement prior to onboarding.
- License and certificate verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Two professional references required before first assignment.
- Criminal background check including Social Security trace, OIG search, National Sex Offender registry, and other checks completed within 90 days prior to start.
- Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days prior to start.
- Driver’s license or state ID matching home state for compact license holders, submitted prior to start.
- Recent headshot photo with white or blue background for badge issuance.
- Completion of onboarding education attestation.
Additional Notes
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call shifts required.
- Floating to other nearby sites may be necessary within the scope of practice.
- Contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
