Description
Job Opportunity: RN Catheterization Lab
Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
Call Requirement: Rotating call schedule including approximately one weekend per month
Job Description
- Provide support in the General Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Scrub, circulate, and support physicians during procedures
- Maintain a safe and sterile procedural environment
- Monitor patients and respond to clinical changes
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary cardiovascular team to ensure high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience of at least 1 year, including experience within the last year
- Ability to independently circulate and scrub Cath Lab procedures
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Valid Driver’s License
Required Credentials and Compliance
- Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment
- Signed assignment agreement and onboarding documentation
- Verification of current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- Driver’s license or state ID (valid, unexpired, matching address requirements)
- Completion of required health screenings and immunizations including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations)
- Varicella (two vaccines, immunity evidence, or history verified by provider, no declinations)
- Tdap (valid within 10 years, no declinations)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine (optional, but mask required if declined during flu season)
- Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest x-ray if positive, annual TB questionnaire)
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite)
- Drug screening (12-panel) within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
- Completion of required competency exams and checklists including:
- Core competencies (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission topics)
- EKG exam (passing score of 80% with two attempts allowed)
- Skills checklist updated annually for specialty
- Cerner test-out and training checklist
- Background checks including criminal, social security trace, and EPLS within 90 days prior to start
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
Additional Information
- Onboarding includes completion of specific education attestations and pre-hire modules
- Badge photo required (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
- Employment and education verifications required and updated annually or after breaks in service
This position is ideal for an experienced RN with strong cardiac catheterization lab skills, especially those comfortable with both circulating and scrubbing during procedures.
