Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days per week (9-hour shifts)
Job Details
- Call schedule: 1-2 days per week during the day, every 3rd weekend, and at least two holidays during the contract (call as needed).
- May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles.
- Experience with EPIC system preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin.
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ARRT (VI) certification.
- Current, unexpired driver’s license.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Submission of current professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment.
- Current, unexpired driver’s license or state ID matching address on file.
- Verification of all licenses and certifications within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with a minimum passing score of 80%.
- Health and immunization documentation required before onboarding:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted).
- Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite).
- 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for TB with annual updates; if positive, chest X-ray and TB questionnaire required.
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Background checks and verifications including:
- Criminal background check with social security trace, OIG search, national sex offender registry, and EPLS within 90 days of start.
- Employment and education verifications within 90 days of start, updated annually or after breaks in service.
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Ascension badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations).
- Completion of skills checklist for specialty within one year of start, updated annually.
- Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation required.
Additional Notes
- Flu vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31), mask wearing is required at all times.
- Some certifications and onboarding forms are completed onsite and uploaded by the facility.
This position is ideal for experienced Interventional Radiology Technicians with strong clinical skills, flexibility for call and floating, and prior travel assignment experience.
