Operating Room RN - Pediatrics
Overview
- 13-week contract
- Start: September
- Shift: Swing shift, with 1 day shift and 2 night shifts; Wednesday and Thursday nights
- Location: Austin, Texas
Role Summary
- Provides operating room nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Circulates in the OR, monitors patient status, and documents care in the electronic health record
- Supports scrub duties by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons
- Works with the interdisciplinary team to support surgical workflow and patient safety
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year of OR RN experience
- Pediatric OR RN experience is a plus
Additional Notes
- Must complete Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification are required within 30 days prior to start
- AHA BLS is required for onboarding
- Fit testing is required for all travelers
- Housing is not mentioned
