Description

Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Oneonta, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM


Job Description

  • Perform Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) including inpatient portable and outpatient echocardiography.
  • Conduct Adult Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), including high-level disinfection of TEE probes.
  • Perform Adult Stress Echocardiography (STE).
  • Utilize ultrasound contrast and agitated saline techniques.
  • Familiarity with structural heart procedures.
  • On-call requirements: approximately every 5th weekend (Friday to Monday), one night per week, and potential holiday coverage. Must respond within 1 hour.
  • Equipment used: Philips EPIQ Ultrasound System.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, including experience within the last year.
  • Experience performing cardiac sonography in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an accredited Cardiac Diagnostic Sonography program (2-year program).
  • Registry eligible for Adult Echocardiography through ARDMS.
  • Eligible for Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

  • Influenza vaccine
  • Tuberculosis (TB) test and annual TB questionnaire
  • Varicella vaccination
  • Physical/Health statement
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
