Sonographer Position

Location: Cooperstown, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Job Overview

• Provide high-quality ultrasound imaging services focusing on general and specialized vascular studies.
• Work within an IAC-accredited Non-Invasive Vascular Lab requiring advanced knowledge and proficiency in diagnostic vascular ultrasound.
• Experience in interventional radiology (IR) is preferred.
• May occasionally provide services at additional hospital sites, outpatient clinics, and outreach centers.

On-Call and Shift Expectations

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule:

  • One weekday evening on-call every other week
  • One weekend on-call approximately every fifth week
• Call schedule shared among a team of five sonographers to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Required Technical Skills

Demonstrated independent proficiency in performing ALL of the following vascular ultrasound studies:

• Upper and lower extremity venous duplex studies
• Upper and lower extremity arterial duplex studies
• Carotid duplex studies
• Bypass graft studies
• Mesenteric artery duplex studies
• Renal artery duplex studies
• Upper and lower extremity vein mapping duplex studies
• Fistula flow studies
• Venous reflux studies

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Experience as a Vascular Sonographer
• ARDMS certification
• BLS certification

• MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap (optional), TB test, Annual TB questionnaire
• Fit test
