MRI Technician - New York, Oneonta

Job Details

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
Scanners: GE 1.5 Tesla (1 scanner covered by traveler)
Average Scans per Shift: 7–11
PACS/RIS Systems: Change Healthcare Radiology Solutions (McKesson) / Epic RIS
Exam Types: Neuro, MSK, Abdomen, Breast, MRA/MRV, General MRI
Note: Advanced studies required; Cardiac MRI not performed by traveler
Contrast Administration: Required
IV Starts: Not required
Pediatric Imaging: Required
Radiologist Coverage: On-site and remote reading
Patient Screening: MRI Technologist responsible
Patient Transport: Handled by hospital transport team
Call: None
Holiday Coverage: Required if it falls during call week
Cross-Coverage: No CT or X-ray coverage expected if volume is low
Sedation Cases: Supported by MRI Tech and Nurse

Required Qualifications

Valid MRI Technologist license in New York
Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
ARRT (MR) certification required (ARRT (R) not accepted)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
