RN Medical / Surgical/ Telemetry

Overview

Location: Fort Madison, Iowa
Employment type: LTA
Shift: 18:00 - 06:30
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit support during surge
Estimated work week: 36 hours, with possible overtime
Every other holiday rotation required
May float to West Burlington or Henry County campus
May occasionally be placed on call during low census; if called in, must be able to arrive on-site within one hour

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS
NIH Certification
CPI/MOAB
Driver's License
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Notes

EPIC EMR experience is mentioned as required in a like unit within the last 12 months
Patient populations include Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
