Physical Therapist (PT) - Inpatient

Location: Cheraw, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy treatments as ordered, ensuring safety and timeliness.
• Evaluate patients using specialized testing procedures to assess strength, range of motion, coordination, sensation, ambulation, transfers, bed mobility, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care with short- and long-term goals based on evaluation data.
• Supervise treatment team operations and collaborate regularly with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to discuss patient progress and goals.
• Perform evidence-based care and incorporate current research to support interventions.
• Maintain professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Participate in meetings, educational sessions, and assist in schedule adjustments to accommodate caseload changes.
• Ensure work area is orderly, clean, and safe.
• Adhere to confidentiality standards regarding patient records and facility operations.
• Document medical records in accordance with American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) standards of care.
• Support staff development in professional skills and new program implementation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
