Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technician

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

• Role: ARRT Certified Radiologic Technologist in Cardiac Cath Lab
• Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with 7 call shifts per 4-week schedule block (including 3 full weekend shifts)
• On-call housing: Must secure housing within 30 minutes of the facility to fulfill on-call duties
• Unit: Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab with 2 rooms
• Procedures: PCI, Impella, balloon pump, device implants, ablations, lead revisions
• Patient Population: Adult
• EMR System: EPIC - Cupid
• Equipment: Toshiba X-Ray
• Floating: May be required to float to Interventional Radiology

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 3+ years recent experience in Cath/EP Lab
• Required skills: Interventional Cardiac, PCI, Scrub, EPIC experience
• EP responsibilities include scrubbing for device implants, lead revisions, and ablations

Certifications & Licenses Required

• ARRT Certification as Radiologic Technologist
• Current Massachusetts Radiology Tech License (no conditional licenses accepted)
• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification
• Other required health and professional clearances (see below)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 1 year of start date, updated annually
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
• TB test (skin or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 1 year of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Optional but preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity, Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• If positive TB test, chest X-ray documentation required
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)

Professional & Background Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Social Security Number trace as part of background check
• Education verification of highest degree achieved
• Submission of a detailed resume covering past 7 years of work experience
• Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above)
• Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
• Confirmation of assignment/POI form required upon acceptance and for extensions

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technicians with strong interventional cardiac skills, ARRT certification, and the ability to work a demanding schedule including call shifts and weekends. Compliance with all health, licensing, and background requirements is mandatory.
