MRI Technician - Boston, Massachusetts (LTA Contract)

Position Overview

• Specialty: MRI Technician
• Location: Boston, MA
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Includes weekday and weekend hours
• No on-call requirements
• Experience preferred
• Required Certification: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
• BLS certification required

Contract Length

• 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Required Credentials & Compliance for Onboarding

• Professional Credentials:

  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
  • Professional license verification (Primary Source Verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
  • MGB Badge Photo (recent color photo, no selfies or filters, plain background)
  • Criminal Background Check (within 45 days prior to start, includes international searches if applicable)
  • Massachusetts CORI background check (within 30 days prior to start)
  • Resume with past 7 years of work experience (including city & state)
  • Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)
  • Skills checklist
  • Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form (upon acceptance and for extensions)
  • Education verification (highest level achieved)
  • SSN Trace (past 7 years addresses/aliases)
  • National Sex Offender Check (within 30 days of start, updated annually)
  • Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid; within 30 days of start and annually)

• Personal Health History & Immunizations:

  • Fit Test for N95 respirator (within 365 days, updated annually; no religious exemptions)
  • MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30; no exemptions)
  • TB test documentation (skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break)
  • Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA (within 365 days, updated if >6 month break)
  • Optional but strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof
  • Optional: Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
  • Optional: Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray documentation (if applicable)
  • Optional: TB symptom survey if positive PPD (updated annually)
