Cardiovascular Technologist (Cardiac Catheterization Technologist II)
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Acts as a critical member of the patient care team in the Cardiac Catheterization department.
- Collaborates with care team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Promotes patient- and family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
- Focuses on understanding and meeting customer needs.
Required Credentials & Certifications for Onboarding
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military certification accepted (AHA preferred).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military certification accepted (AHA preferred).
- ARRT Certification
- Professional License Verification: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start date; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
- Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually. Must be completed on the MGB N95 Respirator Fit Test Record Form.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of vaccines or proof of immunity via blood test.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed.
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start date, including county and international searches if applicable.
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required if fit test is required for the skill.
- Education Verification: Verified through background check company; highest level of education must be confirmed.
- SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check covering last 7 years.
- National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days of start, updated annually.
- Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists checked within 30 days of start and annually.
Required Documents for Submission
- Resume: Past 7 years of work experience with city and state for all work and education.
- References: Two recent references, at least one supervisor or above in the relevant skillset.
- Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
- Candidate Submission Coversheet: Current version required for submission.
Optional but Preferred
- Hepatitis B Vaccination or Immunity Proof
- Tdap Vaccine: Within 10 years, updated upon expiration.
- Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray: If applicable, documentation required.
- TB Symptom Survey: If positive PPD, to confirm no symptoms of active TB infection.
Notes
- No religious exemptions for fit testing or influenza vaccine.
- Fit testing cannot be done onsite; must be completed prior to start.
- All credentials and health requirements must be current and updated as specified.
