Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Support minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in radiology and OR settings.
- Operate all imaging equipment, perform sterile scrub, and case circulating.
- Procedures include neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgery.
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional IR procedures such as angiography, embolization, venous access, venography, myelography, abdominal interventions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, TIPS, dialysis access/fistula work, Y90/SIRT preferred.
Required Credentials & Compliance
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required before onboarding (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted).
- ARRT Certification: Required before onboarding.
- Professional License Verification: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start date; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
Health & Immunizations
- N95 Fit Test: Required annually, must be completed prior to start date.
- MMR Vaccination or Immunity Proof: Required before onboarding.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions.
- TB Test: Documentation of negative TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Health Statement: Physician-signed statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required.
- Hepatitis B Vaccine: Strongly preferred but optional.
- Tdap Vaccine: Preferred but optional.
- Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if applicable.
Background & Professional Checks
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break.
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break.
- National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Exclusion Checks: OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists checked within 30 days prior to start and annually.
- SSN Trace: Required with criminal check, covering last 7 years.
- Education Verification: Verified through background check company.
- References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in skillset.
Submission Requirements
- Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
- Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
- Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for submission.
Assignment Confirmation
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions, updated if start date changes.
This position requires thorough credentialing and compliance with health and professional standards prior to onboarding.
