Sonographer Position - Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm, 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Must be ARDMS & BLS certified
• Some OB/GYN experience preferred
• Some on-call duties required

Required Credentials and Certifications

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• Professional license verification (Primary Source Verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)

Health & Immunizations

• Fit Test for N95 respirator (within 365 days, updated annually)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
• TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days, updated if >6 month break
• Hepatitis B vaccine or immunity strongly preferred
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred

Background & Professional Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Social Security Number trace as part of criminal background check
• Education verification of highest degree achieved

Documentation Required for Submission

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city & state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above) in relevant skillset
• Skills checklist
• Candidate submission coversheet

Additional Requirements

• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (part of Fit Test record)
• Confirmation of assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for any extensions

Summary

This is a 13-week sonographer contract position requiring ARDMS and BLS certification, with some OB/GYN experience preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3pm to 11pm, with some on-call responsibilities. Candidates must meet extensive credentialing, health, and background check requirements prior to onboarding.
