Job Description

Perform echocardiography procedures as part of the cardiac imaging team.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• License: Must hold a valid license appropriate for an Echocardiographer in Massachusetts (no conditional licenses accepted).
• BLS Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) preferred; Red Cross accepted in some cases.
• Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no onsite fit testing; must use specific form).
• Immunizations & Health Requirements:

  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15).
  • Documentation of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) immunity or vaccination.
  • TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months. If positive, chest x-ray required.
  • Influenza vaccine required with documentation.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred (declination accepted).
  • Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years).
  • Physician health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
• Background Checks & Verifications:

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, including Massachusetts CORI.
  • National sex offender registry check.
  • Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, Medicaid exclusion lists.
  • Social Security Number trace and education verification.
• Additional Documentation:

  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
  • Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
  • Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance and updates if start date changes.

Additional Requirements

• Must have documentation of flu vaccine (no religious or medical exemptions).
• Must have own transportation.
• Shared housing agreement required if using employer-provided housing.
• No guests or pets allowed in shared housing.

Experience
