Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 2 evenings (5:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and 1 evening (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM), totaling 24 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• License: Valid MRI Technologist license as required by the state of Massachusetts (primary source verification required; conditional licenses not accepted)
• Certifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA preferred)
• Health Requirements:

  • Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
  • Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15), no exemptions allowed
  • TB test (skin or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
  • Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months
• Background Checks:

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, updated if break >6 months
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date, updated if break >6 months
  • National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start date, updated annually
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid lists) within 30 days prior to start date, updated annually
  • Social Security Number trace as part of background check
• Additional Documentation:

  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
  • Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor-level reference
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year
  • Candidate submission coversheet for initial assignment
  • Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance and for extensions
  • Education verification (highest level achieved)

Preferred / Optional

• Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (strongly preferred)
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years (preferred)
• Documentation of chest x-ray if positive TB test

Notes

• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for required vaccinations and fit testing.
• Fit testing cannot be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start date.
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required as part of fit testing process.
• All health and professional documentation must be current and updated as specified.

This position is suitable for MRI Technologists who meet the licensing and certification requirements and are able to comply with the health and background screening protocols.
