Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician

Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Work Schedule

• Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (8 hours)
• Saturday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM (16 hours)
• Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (8 hours)
• Total: 32 hours per week
• Additional weekday hours may be available but are not guaranteed

Required Qualifications

• Valid professional license/certification for Ultrasound Technician, with primary source verification completed within 30 days of start date
• BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
• Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity
  • TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months
  • Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 1 year of start date and updated if >6 month break
  • Fit test for N95 respirator within 1 year of start date and updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test is required
• Criminal background checks and verifications including:

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start and updated if >6 month break
  • Social Security Number trace covering last 7 years
  • National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
  • Exclusion checks against federal and state lists within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Submission requirements prior to onboarding:

  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
  • Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
  • Candidate submission coversheet for initial assignment
• Education verification as applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Ultrasound Technologist experience must be within the last year

Additional Information

• Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity is strongly preferred but optional
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years is preferred but optional
• If positive TB test, documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test is required
• Name change documentation may be required if legal name differs from credential documentation
