Description
Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Outpatient
Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Outpatient setting only
- Work schedule: 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long
- Shifts start between 8:00 and 8:30 AM
- Shared housing provided at no cost
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Completion of FEMA ICS 100 Training
Experience
- Specialty: Physical Therapist Outpatient

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Professional license verification and primary source validation required within 30 days of start
- Completion of FEMA ICS 100 Training mandatory before onboarding
- Criminal background check, Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks required within specified timeframes
- Submission of resume with past 7 years of work experience and 2 professional references (minimum 1 supervisor-level)
- Skills checklist completion within 1 year of submission
- Health documentation including:
- TB test within 3 months of start date (or negative blood test alternative)
- MMR vaccination or immunity proof
- Physician health statement within 1 year
- Fit test for N95 respirator within 1 year (no exemptions allowed)
- Other immunizations and health screenings as preferred or required (Hepatitis B, Tdap)
Additional Notes
- Housing agreement form required if staying in provided housing, especially if there is a break of 35 days or more during assignment
- All background and health documentation must be current and updated if there is a break in assignment longer than 6 months
- No conditional licenses accepted for Massachusetts PT license
