Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery
Location: Mesquite, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3x12 hour shifts)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Work environment includes care for COVID-19 patients
- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrubs color: Navy or Royal Blue
- Experience with mother and baby care required
- Postpartum and vaginal examination experience is a plus
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
Health and Safety Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination: 2 doses plus booster or documented declination
- Influenza vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31)
- Tuberculosis (TB) test within one year of start date
- Hepatitis B immunization series, immune titer, or declination accepted
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity proof (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella immunity proof (vaccination or titer)
- Tdap vaccination required (declination not accepted in some states)
- Annual respirator fit test (3M 1860(s) or equivalent mask)
Onboarding and Compliance
- National criminal background check within one year of start date (state-specific timing requirements apply)
- Drug screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC, completed within 60 days of start
- Name verification affidavit if discrepancies exist between credentials
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation)
- Agency attestation and other professional compliance documents required
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or direct supervisor
Additional Information
- Driver’s license, state ID, or passport required for onboarding
- Must complete Prime Agency Attestation and SAM/EPLS exclusion search
- Must complete Prime Skills Checklist and Specialty Exam prior to start
