Job Opportunity: RN CVOR in Iowa (Mason City)

Position Details

• Specialty: RN CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse)
• Location: Mason City, Iowa
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Mostly day shift, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) depending on department needs
• Hours: Full-time, 36-40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: 10-12 days per month

Experience & Skills Required

• Open Heart Surgery experience required
• EPIC system experience required
• Scrubbing experience is a plus
• Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ year CVOR experience based on specialty requirements (default to higher if known)

Certifications & Licenses Required (Must be current and verifiable)

• BLS (American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel)

• Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (completed within 30 days of start, no THC)

• MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series (at least first vaccination prior to start)
• Influenza Vaccine (proof or declination for 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 season)
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per regional requirements)
• Varicella vaccination or IgG titer proof
• Physical/Health Statement (exam within last year confirming fitness to work)
• Tdap vaccine (current, non-expired; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)

Professional & Compliance Documentation

• Resume, skills checklist (within last year), and 2 professional references
• Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years, including SSN verification)
• Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) report dated within 30 days
• OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion report dated within 30 days
• Joint Commission CORE exam within last year
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days
