Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday required
Scheduling: No self-scheduling
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Utilize clinical systems including Epic, OBix, Voalte, and Hugs
- Must work assigned shifts including weekends and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Minimum 1 year of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Immunizations & Health Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine with booster proof (or approved declination/exemption) valid through October 2026
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination proof or immunity titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date (titers not accepted)
- Influenza vaccine (optional) with proof or declination/exemption
- Varicella vaccination proof or immunity titer
- Tdap vaccine (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test; if positive, chest x-ray required within last year for Michigan
- Physical exam within last year confirming fitness to work
- Fit test for respirator use
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 9 or 10 panel drug screen (no THC) completed within 30 days of start, with Medical Review Officer (MRO) signature
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
- Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, and NSO reports dated within 30 days of start
- Signed confidentiality, conflict of interest, integrity and audit services forms
- CORE exam (Joint Commission testing) within the last year
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
Additional Notes
- No self-scheduling; shift and weekend/holiday requirements are mandatory
- Must comply with all onboarding documentation and credential verification prior to start
- This is a long-term assignment with a 13-week contract length
