Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician

Location: Waterbury, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 17 weeks


Job Description

  • Position: Cardiac Cath Lab Invasive Technologist
  • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • On-call rotation: Every other weekend plus every third weekend, in addition to 2 weekdays during the week
  • Specialty: Cath Lab Technician

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist/Invasive Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

Candidates must provide the following documentation and meet these health and professional standards prior to start:

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • License/certification verification dated within 30 days of start
  • Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature
  • COVID-19 vaccination proof (including booster or approved exemption)
  • MMR, Hepatitis B vaccination series, Influenza vaccine or approved exemption
  • 2-step TB test (PPD) or IGRA with chest x-ray if positive (per regional requirements)
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
  • Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
  • 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
  • Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years)
  • Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
  • Various professional compliance forms including code of conduct, confidentiality agreements, conflict of interest disclosure, and others as required by the employer
  • CORE exam within the last year
  • System access form completed one week before start

Additional Information

  • The agency will provide a skills checklist for clinical contractors.
  • On-call duties require flexibility and availability as scheduled.

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technicians seeking a long-term contract assignment with a structured schedule and comprehensive onboarding requirements.
