Shift: Days, start time between 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM, 10-hour shifts

Job Description

Seeking a Surgical Technician with experience in orthopedic surgery. The position involves supporting surgical procedures and ensuring proper instrument handling and sterile techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Certification:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association)

• Licensure:

  • NBSTSA Certification verification required

• Experience:

  • Minimum years of specialty experience not explicitly stated; assume standard experience for Surgical Technician role.

• Additional Requirements:

  • Must meet all health and safety requirements including:

    • Current immunizations and vaccine proof (COVID-19, Influenza, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap) or approved exemptions where applicable
    • Fit test as required by location
    • Negative drug screen (10-panel) completed within 30 days of start
    • Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
  • Background checks and verifications including:

    • Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within 30 days of start
    • Education verification
    • Exclusion screenings (OIG, EPLS, GSA) within 30 days of start
    • Child and adult dependent abuse training (Iowa only)
    • Code of conduct and confidentiality agreements signed
    • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
  • Completion of required onboarding documentation and forms prior to start
