Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

Shift: 09:00 AM – 06:30 PM
Weekend rotation: Every 4th to 5th weekend
FTE: 0.9 to 1.0 (36 to 40 hours per week)
Holiday: Call rotation
On-call: Weeknight call approximately every 1-2 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification

Immunization and Health Requirements

COVID-19 vaccine with booster proof (or approved declination/exemption; declination not accepted in CA or IL)
MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab report
Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start (3-shot series required; titers not accepted)
Influenza vaccine (optional): Proof of vaccine, declination, or exemption accepted except in CA or IL
2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) for TB screening; positive TB requires chest x-ray per regional guidelines
Varicella: Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer lab report
Tdap: Current, non-expired vaccine required; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction
