Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Night Shift
Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week, every third weekend)
Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Job Description
- Provide critical care nursing in a Medical ICU setting.
- Night shift coverage with a schedule of 7p-7a.
- Work 36 hours per week, including every third weekend.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid and verified within 30 days of start.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) knowledge or certification.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) knowledge or certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, NSO, and GSA/OIG within 30 days of start.
- Signed Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality and Security Agreement, and Integrity and Audit Services forms.
- Completion of standard I-9 verification.
- Trinity system access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- CORE exam (Joint Commission testing) within the last year.
- Skills checklist provided and completed by the agency prior to onboarding.
Additional Information
- Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended (declination accepted with agency letterhead except in Illinois).
- All documentation must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to or at onboarding.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs seeking a night shift assignment in a critical care environment with comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
