Registered Nurse (RN) ICU – Night Shift
Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week, every third weekend)
Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a Medical ICU setting.
- Night shift position on 4NW unit.
- Work schedule includes 36 hours per week with every third weekend required.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid and verified within 30 days of start.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) knowledge/competency.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Knowledge and competency in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, NSO, and Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year.
- Signed confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, and integrity/audit services forms.
- System access form completed and submitted one week prior to start.
- Skills checklist to be completed by the agency for clinical competency verification.
