Description

Registered Nurse (RN) ICU – Night Shift

Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week, every third weekend)
Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in a Medical ICU setting.
  • Night shift position on 4NW unit.
  • Work schedule includes 36 hours per week with every third weekend required.

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license valid and verified within 30 days of start.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association).
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) knowledge/competency.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience within the last year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Knowledge and competency in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification.
  • Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
  • Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, NSO, and Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year.
  • Signed confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, and integrity/audit services forms.
  • System access form completed and submitted one week prior to start.
  • Skills checklist to be completed by the agency for clinical competency verification.
